Puzzle Hungry: Umami Rush!™ is a competitive jigsaw puzzle game for 2 to 4 players. Players race to complete unique food puzzles made of tricky double-sided pieces. After finishing a puzzle, players ring a service bell and draw cards that can award points or be used to sabotage others. The game is designed for ages 10+, and a typical round lasts 30-40 minutes.

How do I add an optional item like an extra wooden puzzle or pin set?
You can add individual items to your pledge via the add-ons section in the pledge manager after the campaign ends. Available add-ons include the premium wooden puzzles ($30 each), enamel pins ($10 each or $24 for a set of three), and a signed collector’s print ($14).

What does “Friendly Shipping” mean?
It means your pledge will arrive without surprise customs duties, VAT bills, or brokerage fees at the door. We take care of those charges up front, so all you pay is the shipping fee listed in our pledge manager. This project is USA-, Canada-, EU-, UK-, and Australia-Friendly.

Backers in the USA, Canada, UK, EU, and Australia are covered by Friendly Shipping. That means we collect VAT/GST in the pledge manager and prepay it to customs, so there are no surprise charges on delivery. Backers outside these regions may still be responsible for local import taxes.

Why is shipping more expensive than some other Kickstarters?
Puzzle Hungry is a premium 7 lb game box — heavier than most board games. That extra weight pushes the package into higher postal tiers. We’ve optimized the box size to keep costs as low as possible while still protecting your game.
U.S. Backers: For holiday add-ons, if you’d prefer to bundle your shipping and receive all items after the holidays when the game is released in Q2 2026, single shipment will be an available option within the pledge manager post campaign.

What countries can you not ship to?
We cannot ship to Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Brazil, and a small number of other countries with unreliable customs or prohibitive costs.

We stand behind our product. If your game arrives damaged or incomplete, we’ll replace missing components or, if needed, the entire game. Just contact us through Kickstarter or our support email once fulfillment begins.

Can I get a refund if I change my mind?
During the campaign: Full refund.
After campaign ends but before pledge manager closes: Partial refund (minus Kickstarter/processing fees).

Will the game be available in retail stores after the campaign?
Yes, we do plan for a future retail release. However, by backing the Kickstarter, you are getting it at the lowest price it will ever be offered. Backers will also receive their copies months before the game is available in any retail channels.

Will the Kickstarter version of the game have exclusive content?

At this time, the campaign is for an English-language version of the game only. We would love to offer localized versions in the future, and if we can confirm any language partners during the campaign, we will announce it in a project update.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
